Cable construction

N2XS2Y:Single-core copper conductor, XLPE insulated, copper-wire-plus-copper-tape metallic screen, black HD-PE outer sheath medium-voltage underground power cable (non-water-blocked version).

N = VDE German standard

2X = XLPE cross-linked polyethylene insulation

S = Copper wires + counter-wound copper tape metallic screen

2Y = Black high-density polyethylene (HD-PE) outer sheath, UV-resistant, suitable for direct burial, outdoor, cable duct, indoor fixed installation, not for overhead use
